About Our Founder

Dr. Cenk TÜRKER has established ESG Turkey Consultancy to provide quality service as a consultant in the fields of sustainability and management, after 17 years of experience in different positions in many actors of the business world. Besides his academic career; He has served in close contact with non-governmental organizations in the public and private sectors, in supranational organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union. Basically; He focuses on Strategic Management, Project Management and Sustainability. He lectures on Strategic Management, Marketing Management and Sustainability at MBA level at universities. His PhD degree is in General Business and his thesis is on Securities Markets. He worked on Quality Management in his master thesis.

Before founding ESG Turkey Consultancy, he worked as Akbank Investor Relations and Sustainability Manager. In this position; He focuses on Sustainability Strategy, Sustainable Finance, Climate Change Management and Corporate Social Responsibility. He managed the Sustainability Team within Akbank, played an active role in the establishment of the IFC Social & Environmental Management System, and conducted the due diligence processes with investors. GRI, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and Sustainability Index reporting, Dr. Türker has also developed and carried out Sustainability Approach trainings. UN Global Compact, CDP, TÜSİAD, TBB, Borsa İstanbul, etc. He has managed relationships between various local and international stakeholders.

He served as a consultant in different sectors before the establishment of the sustainability unit in Akbank. Prior to his consultancy experience, he worked in United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and European Union Education & Youth Programs. He started his career as an academic at Hacettepe University, Department of Business Administration and took part in projects.

He is certified in Business Ethics and Sustainability from Netherlands Nyenrode Business School, Strategic Thinking Simulation and ISO 26000 CSR from Dale Carnegie. He is a Climate Leader within the scope of the Climate Reality Project carried out by Former Vice President of the USA Al Gore. He is interested in table tennis and sailing.
